Our Privacy Commitment
Leaf Diary is a plant care journal and reminder app. This policy explains how we handle the data you create while using it.
What We Store
- Plant details you add: name, species, location, light preference, acquired date, notes, and cover photo.
- Care entries: the type of action such as watering, fertilizing, pest control, or pruning, along with its date, note, and any photos you attach.
- Reminder rules: type, repeating interval or one-time, start date, time of day, last completion date, and whether a system notification is sent.
- Custom care types you create: name, icon, and color.
- Premium purchase status, used to determine whether the plant limit is unlocked.
This data is used to display and manage your plants and care entries inside the app.
Photos and Camera
- Choosing photos uses the system photo picker, so the app can only read the specific photos you select. It cannot browse your library.
- The photos you pick are copied into the app for entries and the gallery.
- Saving to your library uses add-only permission, and only happens when you tap Save to Photos yourself.
The app does not access the camera.
Notifications
Watering and fertilizing reminders use system notifications. Due dates are calculated from your care entries, and the notification text includes the plant name and the action. You can turn off notifications for an individual reminder in the app, or disable them entirely in Settings, Notifications.
